Thanks to Anna Bean Coffee Company for Providing Free Coffee for the Barber Classic!

Located at 361 4th Street NW, Anna Bean is housed in the first commmercial building constructed by O. C. Barber. Visit Anna Bean to learn more about its amazing historical story!

The building has been renovated and is gorgeous, but still reminds of its unique place in Barberton's history. Today's visitor to 3R Sales and Service knows it is 2026 by its amazing display of wash equipment. Specializing in custom mobile wash equipment, 3R's staff is extremely experienced and knowledgeable. They provide customized and ready-made hot and cold water pressure washers, parts and accessories. But this is just a partial list. Visit their web-site to learn more!

The building now occupied by 3R Sales and Service at 27 4th St NW in downtown Barberton was built in two stages beginning in 1894 by O. C. Barber. It was originally known as the North Machine Shop, part of the Diamond Match Company. The building was originally used to construct the machines used to manufacture matches. The property is now part of the Diamond Match Historic District.

The Diamond Match Party Center is housed in a building constructed by O. C. Barber in the 1890's to house support operations - warehousing and offices in particular - for his match-building business.

Today, The Diamond Match Party Center uses the spacious historical site to provide meticulously planned, graciously hosted accommodations to support celebrations of all varieties.

Matt McConnell, the overall 2026 winner of the 5k at 15 minutes and 37 seconds, received a cash award. Matt has dominated the 5K race for the past two years. Matt is seen here with one of the raffle prizes he won at the event, a framed poster of Jeep Davis!

Top 2026 female runners overall from left to right: Alysia Rogers (18 minutes, 7 seconds), 5th place overall and first place women; Ashlee Eskelsen (18 minutes and 44 seconds),6th place overall; and Blossom Heindel (19 minutes and 19 seconds), 7th place overall! They received cash awards for their performances!

Another hometown hero joined us for the 5k, John Cominsky, recently retired from the Atlanta Falcons and Detroit Lions. John supports local football camps for youth through his Cominsky Family Foundation. John is seen here with his friend Spencer Hutchison running alongside the Ohio & Erie Canal.

5K Race Results for 2026

Matt McConnell continues to dominate, reinstating his reign over first place overall! Here is a great picture of Matt with another runner.

Thanks to Jeep Davis's son and daughter, there were multiple medals from Jeep's amazing athletic career on display. Notice the golden torch, carried by Jeep Davis prior to the 1996 Olympic Games in Atlanta.

Bill Allen with the starting gun he used to start this year's race. Jeep Davis gave this pistol to Bill. It has been used to start all of the races since the passing of Jeep Davis.

The first 3 ladies to cross the line this year were the same 3 that crossed the line first in 2025! All three broke their previous records! Congratulations Alysia, Ashlee, and Blossom!
